Good News Ministries Pakistan was founded on January 12, 2015 when the founder and President of the Good News Ministries, Evangelist Asif Basharat saw a vision from the Lord to preach and spread the Good News in Pakistan. Asif Basharat discussed about his vision with his wife and family and told that He is going to start a mission. His wife Uzma joined evangelist Asif Basharat to spread His Word in Pakistan. To seek God’s help and guidance in this work, a prayer meeting was organized at Evangelist Asif’s home and 63 people participated. All present in the meeting prayed for Evangelist Asif Basharat and his wife Uzma for their mission and to strengthen their faiths while they take His name to those areas which were still unreached.
Good News Ministries Pakistan is doing the following work to spread His Word in Pakistan.
Sunday Schools: The majority of the children in Pakistan study in the government run schools and in these schools, there is no opportunity for them to hear or read His Word. Good News Ministries Pakistan runs three Sunday Schools in the areas where children go to government run schools. The Sunday School teachers teach the children and the children after attending the church spend time in the Sunday School where they read from the Bibles and also eat together.
Bible Distribution: There are millions of people in Pakistan who do not have access to have their own Bible. This gives lot of pleasure to the people when they get their own Bible. Good News Ministries Pakistan distributes Bibles to the people in remote areas of Pakistan. The Bibles are distributed free of cost.
Outreach Missions: Good News Ministries Pakistan has formed outreach teams to reach out to those areas where there is no opportunity for the people to pray together and get the true understanding of Bible. The outreach teams go for the mission trips for two weeks and one month six times in a year.
